Active Schools Week

19th Jun 2026
A huge highlight of Sports Day 2026 was the epic 6th Class Vs Staff obstacle course relay race – full of laughs, surprises, and maybe a little competitive spirit! 😄👏
Then came the impromptu Basketball Game - 6th Class Vs Staff. This one was a clinker! Who know we had such prowess and talent within our school!
Finally, came the ultimate showdown: Dodgeball – 6th Class Vs Staff! 🎯
Who won? Well, 6th Class definitely clinched the Dodgeball title and the entire school helped them celebrate as if they had won the World Cup! 🏆💥

🏃‍♂️ What a fantastic day we had at our annual Sports Day which marked the end of Active Week 2026! 🏅
The boys gave it their all in a variety of races, cheered on in their bright team colours. From sprints, to crawling races, to obstacle course relays, the energy was sky-high! 💪🎽
This year the boys who were placed First, Second and Third Class within their class races received medals.🥇🥈🥉 The team that won overall got a trip to the park and an ice cream the following week.🍦Thanks to everyone who helped make the day a brilliant success, especially chief organiser, Mr Gahan.👏

🥊 On Thursday of Active Week, we also had sessions with Dundalk Boxfit.
Thank you to past pupil Lee Mackin for leading the exciting and energetic sessions. He was ably assisted by our very own Ultan and Kyron Agnew from 6th Class. The boys learned from the best as their mum, Emma, is a national boxing champion!! 🥊
