World Book Day 2026

Last Thursday, we had a wonderful day celebrating World Book Day. Great efforts were made by pupils and staff in fancy dress, with so many creative and colourful book characters appearing throughout the school. A special emphasis was put on reading for the day, where classes engaged in many fun literacy activities including creative writing, designing bookmarks and book covers, DEAR time (Drop Everything And Read) and peer reading, where our senior boys read to children in our younger classes. Reading opens doors to imagination, knowledge and adventure, and days like these remind us how important it is to foster a love of love from an early age.
