Silver Award Winners in Eco-Tribes 2019

15th Jun 2019

What a great impression the The Green Redeem Team made in their first year of participation in Louth Tidy Towns Together coming in with an impressive score of 86%. Actively partnering with Dundalk Tidy Towns our Eco Tribe developed a lovely herb garden in the residential area at the back of the school. The judges were very impressed with the very professional PowerPoint presentation which highlighted the success of the proposal from start to finish and at the thought that had gone in to developing a Maintenance Plan that involves local residents as well as the pupils. They were also extremely impressed with the support from, and enthusiasm of, parents and local residents who demonstrated great pride in the work undertaken. A play on words was very much a feature of this project with a wonderful rendition of “Are you going to pick some herbs” to the air of “Are you going to Scarborough Fair “ and the brilliant incorporation of of the word HERBS in our sign: Here for Everyone from Redeemer Boys School ! Well Done The Green Redeem Team and Dundalk Tidy Towns!
