Home Learning during Coronavirus Closure

29th Mar 2020

Please watch this video message to parents during Covid-19 school closures from Pairic Clerkin, CEO of the Irish Primary Principal’s Network. 'Schools will continue to support children with their learning but they do not wish to cause any further anxiety for parents.'

RBS staff feel that this message is especially important following on from the Taoiseach's introduction of emergency legislation on Friday 27th March. The radical and intensive actions announced are aimed at saving as many lives as possible in the days and weeks ahead. It will be a difficult time for all of us and we want to be sensitive to the fact that households (pupils and staff) may be dealing with illness and other stresses linked to this uncertain time. Please find links below to two letters detailing some advice in this area (one for pupils and another for parents).

Please remember that the most important job we, as adults, have at the minute is helping our children and pupils feel safe and secure.

Beir bua agus beannacht,

M.Murray
