Cultural Fair 2025
On the 9th of May 2024, we celebrated our Annual Cultural Fair. We are proud in Redeemer Girls' School and Redeemer Boys' School to celebrate the diversity of cultures within our community. We are so lucky to have a dedicated group of parents who do huge work every year to pull together an event which can be enjoyed by everyone in the community from parents, grandparents and especially our children, who look forward to the event every year.
There were 10 countries represented - Pakistan, Syria, Nigeria, Zimbabwe, Lithuania, Poland, Ukraine, Italy, Ireland and Moldova. We had an African stall with cultural outfits and music as well as performances from a parent from Syria, pupils from the Boys' and Girls' school who performed a dance and our very own Aidan Moore and his ukulele group, who played traditional Irish songs, and ended up in a great sing-along!
The food and information provided at the stalls was amazing and huge credit goes to the volunteer parents from each country who worked so hard to provide a great experience to all who attended. The event was very well attended and there was a lovely atmosphere in the hall.
Thank you once again to our parent volunteers, our parents' association who provided Tea, Coffee and refreshments (they were very busy!) and to all members of the community who contributed on the day (there are too many to mention). A special thank you to Krakowiak (Polish Shop), Angelina Luka (Parent), Cafe Provence (Malahide), Brodericks Chocolate, Total Transport Solutions, Gift and Art Gallery, McCabe's Pharmacy, Boca Grande Coffee Shop, The Copper Kettle, School Completion Program (Niall Weldon) and Pimi's Food Store (Peter Folikwe), Castletown Road for providing the prizes for the Raffle.
